Upcoming Dog Park Events sponsored by Sanders County Dog Training Club

90-Minute Dog Training Class: Thurs., April 20, 6:30pm at Thompson Falls Dog Park. For all dogs at least 4 months old. This class will help prepare you and your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test to be given at the park on Sunday, May 7. Bring your dog on a leash April 20 and we'll get you started on leash-walking, sit, down, come and stay. Plus, your dog will get to socialize with other friendly canines. Fee is $10. No charge to Sanders County Dog Training Club members.

Intro to Agility: Starts Sat., April 22, at 10am and 11am. Both classes are already full, but come and watch if you'd like! The session runs for 6 weeks.

Intro to Agility: For Trout Creek area residents. Starts Thurs., April 27, 6:30pm in Trout Creek. Meets for 6 Thursdays. Fee: $30. We have room for two more students. Dogs should be at least 6 months old, non-aggressive, and treat oriented.

Spring Social: Sun., May 7, noon to 3pm. Bring your dog to the park for games, agility fun, ball chasing, Canine Good Citizen testing, and more. No charge.

Rally Fun Match: Sat., June 10, 10am to 3pm. An organized match (competition) for those involved in the sport of Rally Obedience. All 3 levels (novice, advanced and excellent) invited. Prizes! $5 entry fee per run per dog. Package prices also available. In case of inclement weather, we will hold it inside at the Community Center next to the dog park.

Yard Sale-ing Weekend: Fri. and Sat., June 23-24, 9am to 4pm both days, at the dog park. All proceeds go to Sanders County Dog Training Club.

Kids' Dog Training Class: Starts Sat., July 1, 9am at the dog park. Three segments: Basic Manners and Care (3 weeks), Rally Competition (3 weeks), Agility (3 weeks). Each segment is $10. The first segment Basic Manners) is a prerequisite to the other two. Dogs should be at least 6 months old. Kids should be 8 to 18.

Rally Drop-In Classes: Every Monday this summer (with a few exceptions). For people already involved in Rally training and/or competition. We meet at 6:30. Fee is $5.
