Dog Park:

A safe place for

dogs to play

Early in 2015, SCDTC approached the City of Thompson Falls about renovating and repurposing a piece of land that had gone unused for years.  The result:  Thompson Falls Dog Park, a public park where off-leash dogs could safely play together.  The dog park is located at 410 Golf Street, next to the Community Center, civic pool and Little League field.  The 60' x 160' property is fenced and sodded, thanks to grants from generous supporters.

The park officially opened Oct. 31, 2015.  More improvements will be made as funds become available, including a double-gated safety entrance, fencing upgrades, and the addition of doggy playground equipment.

One way you can help is to purchase a $20 nameplate for your dog.  The 6" x 12" nameplate, in your choice of colors and text, will be hung on the outside of the fence so all can see that your dog has a "place" in the development of the park.  Click here for the nameplate order form.

Thompson Falls Dog Park is a collaborative effort between Sanders County Dog Training Club and the City of Thompson Falls.
